As we look at 25 years of family music on Kids Corner, we find ourselves in The Golden Age. This CD reflects our belief in the future of kids’ music, standing on the musical shoulders of giants from the past quarter century and beyond. On this CD you'll find twenty-five artists that roundly represent the sound of Kids Corner. I love listening to these artists and I think you will, too.

The Board of Education is Seattle's brainiac kids' rock band, whose mission is to get you moving, shaking and thinking! Their witty, wild songs spin tales of science and school life in the classic tradition of Schoolhouse Rock and early Sesame Street.
4) Caspar Babypants
Summer Baby (Let It Ride)

Caspar Babypants is also known as Chris Ballew of The Presidents of the United States of America - a rock band that sings about a frog, a kitty, a dune buggy, peaches and a lump. These days he's found a musical expression that truly feels comfortable and natural to him - and to his fans!
5) Beth Nielsen Chapman
The Moon

Nashville based singer-songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman has truly embraced musical diversity. The Mighty Sky is a beautifully crafted album and a science song project, meant to inspire, to teach, and also to remind us of the Universe's stunning mysteries and wonders.
6) The Deedle Deedle Dees
Cool Papa Bell

Founded by Brooklyn-based teaching artist/songwriter Lloyd Miller, the Deedle Deedle Dees use rock-n-roll, country, hip hop, New Orleans piano music, punk, and folk to teach kids about American history, the natural world, social action, and other cool stuff
7) Lucky Diaz & The Family Band Vacation

Led by husband and wife duo, award winning singer/songwriter, Lucky Diaz and Broadway performer/ songwriter Alisha Gaddis, LDFJB turns kid's music into music loved by all. LDFJB serves up deliciously crafted lyrics and fresh pop beats.
8) The Doubleclicks
Worst Superpower Ever

The Doubleclicks are a pair of sisters from Portland, Oregon who play cello, guitar and ukulele and write songs that are all at once snarky, geeky and sweet. The Doubleclicks tour their unique brand of folk music around the country to fans far and wide.
9) The Hipwaders
Dewey Decimal System

The Hipwaders have recorded 5 albums including a NAPPA award-winning album of original Christmas songs. Their latest release, “The Golden State”, recently received a NAPPA Gold and was recorded by engineer/producer, Willie Samuels (Green Day, Kronos Quartet).
10) The Jimmies
Every Day’s A Holiday

Children's band the Jimmies, fairly accurately described as "bubblegum meets indie," are the creation of New Yorker Ashley Albert, the daughter of music producer Howard Albert. Albert has a knack for coming up with simple, catchy songs that combine fun, energy & a quirky, universal wisdom.
11) Billy Kelly
The Family Garden

Billy Kelly got his first guitar when he was 15. He got his first guitar string about 6 months later, and went from there. Within 3 years Billy Kelly had all 6 guitar strings, at which point he began saving up for a guitar strap. Now, Billy Kelly is 38 years old and performs great, fun songs for kids!
12) Joanie Leeds

Life clicked into place when Joanie realized that when she was with children, they transformed themselves into amazing creatures of joy, forgetting how to hold back. Seeing the kids get in touch with their true selves gives Joanie a sense of fulfillment that far surpassed playing for adults on the club circuit.

The Not-Its! give kids their very first, epic rock show experience. Their high-energy performances make the ENTIRE family want to dance along with them and jump up and down. They have created a movement - a family connection that brings out the kid power in all of us!
17) The Okee Dokee Brothers
The Bullfrog Opera

The young duo has gained a national following that is drawn to their witty lyrics, strong musicianship and unique folk style. By appealing to the musical needs of the entire family, The Okee Dokee Brothers are working full-time to advance the family music genre.
18) Ozokidz

The Los Angeles-based band has been making grown-up music for 15 years, writing about multiculturalism in their hometown, making them a regional treasure. With OzoKidz, they bring their brand of Latino, hip-hop, salsa, dancehall, samba and funk to the kindie world.

The Plants are a four piece Philadelphia based band for kids with an eclectic style that traverses musical genres while exploring the potential of the imagination. Mixing funk, folk, mo town, do-wop, rock and more The Plants offer everyone a truly great musical experience!
20) The Pop Ups
Connect The Stars

The Pop Ups are a Brooklyn-based musical duo who reflect the creativity percolating on the independent children's music scene. Not your typical band; The Pop Ups perform their music using cardboard props, hand-painted sets, and a colorful cast of original puppets.
